Sophomore Margo Britton has been named the Owlsports.com Athlete of the Week, presented by Under Armour for the week of Feb. 18.
Britton was named the Atlantic 10 Conference's Most Outstanding Field Performer of the Year on Sunday (Feb. 17), which was the second day of competition at the A-10 Indoor Track and Field Championships in Kingston, R.I.
The York, Pa. native threw for a mark of 15.19 meters in the shot put, which was far enough for her to repeat as the conference indoor champion in the event. Britton, who was the 2012 A-10 Rookie of the Year, now has three conference shot put championship titles in her year and a half long career, having two indoor and one outdoor.
