Gomez Sanchez tabbed four goals in the Owls’ past two matches, bumping his season goal total up to 10 which is now tied for the programs most goals since 2003. Gomez Sanchez knocked in a game-winner against Villanova and a hat trick in the match against Penn.
For his efforts in the past week, Gomez Sanchez earned Offensive Player of the Week honors from the American Athletic Conference for the second week in a row. He was also named Philadelphia Soccer Six Player of the Week and earned a spot on the College Soccer News National Team of the Week.
Gomez Sanchez currently ranks first in the conference in all categories except assists and assists per game. Nationally, he leads in game-winning goals and is ranked second in goals per game, points per game, total goals, total points, and shots per game. He is tied for third in the nation for shots on goal per game with 2.71.
