Whitney Richards was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Tournament after leading Temple to the 2008 Atlantic 10 Women's Lacrosse Tournament. In the semi-final victory over Duquesne, Richards had a monster game of three goals, four groundballs, four draw controls and six caused turnovers, which set a new A-10 record for caused turnovers in a tournament game. In the win over host UMass in the final, she had two goals on two shots to help the Owls to their first championship and NCAA Tournament since 2004. The senior leads Temple in goals, assists, groundballs, draw controls and caused turnovers.
