Terence Stansbury was known as the second highest scorer in Temple Men's Basketball history at the time with 1,811 points earned All-American honors after starring in the 1984 NCAA Tournament. In Owls first NCAA win since 1958, Terrance hit a 22-foot jump shot at the buzzer to give Temple a 65-63 victory over St. John's. He led Temple in scoring twice and during the 1982-83 season he had 713 points with a 24.6 average. At the time, he also held McGonigle Hall’s record of 39 points in a game against Massachusetts in 1983. Named Co-Big 5 player of the Year and Atlantic 10 Player of the Year, Terence would later be inducted into the Big 5 Hall of Fame in 1990. He held the NCAA record for minutes played in a single-season (40.7 per game). After graduation, he was drafted in the first round by the Dallas Mavericks. He later starred in France.
