At the time, Pam Balogh was the second highest scorer in Temple women's basketball history with 1,639 points. She starred for the Owls from 1985 to 1989 and was twice selected as the team's most valuable player. She played in 115 games and averaged 14.2 points per game. She is Temple's all-time leader in steals with 237 and was ranked sixth in rebounds with 616. She led the Owls in scoring average twice. During the 1988-89 season, she had 558 points and averaged 18.0 points per game. In 1987-88, she scored 519 points for 17.9 average. She was Temple's second best point-maker as a sophomore, contributing 12.4 points per game. The 1988-89 team tolled to a 22-10 record for the highest win total in Temple history, as she starred on offense and defense with 67 steals. She was named to the Atlantic 10 Conference first all-star team in 1988. Aside from her great accomplishments on the court, she had great accomplishments in the classroom as well where she made the weekly honor roll twice. She earned second team A-10 honors in 1989. She was the conference's third best scorer in 1988. She made the All-Big 5 first team three times and was inducted into the Big 5 Hall of Fame in 1995.
