30th Annual Temple Fencing Open Begins Saturday At McGonigle Hall
Two-day fencing tournament hosted by TU is the largest individual collegiate meet in the nation

PHILADELPHIA – Head coach Nikki Franke and the Temple women’s fencing team are set to host the 30th Annual Temple Fencing Open, running October 31st to November 1st at McGonigle Hall.
“We are very excited about the tournament, being that we expect almost 600 fencers to compete over the two days,” commented assistant coach Bradley Baker. “This will be a great way for our team to start the season, and we look forward to a very successful weekend.”
Over 30 schools from across the nation are converging on North Broad Street this weekend, for what is considered to be the largest individual collegiate fencing tournament in the nation. Temple, along with the Temple fencing club, will be amongst the field of fencers that includes other national contenders Notre Dame, Penn, and Penn State.
Action for the tournament is slated to run from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on both October 31st and November 1st.
