Also in epee, sophomore Jillian Bratton placed 62nd, while junior Grace Wu battled to a 65th place finish. The title would eventually belong to Kelley Hurley, of Texas.
In sabre, sophomore Kamali Thompson reached the semi-finals placing 13th out of 62 entries. She lost to the eventual champion Emily Jacobsen of Georgia. Senior Christie Griffith came away with a 44th place finish, while junior Audrey Barroso placed 52nd.
In foil, sophomore Alyssa Lomuscio fought to the quarter-finals, placing 28th. Freshman Mikayla Varadi held her own in the very competitive field, placing 40th out of the 93 entries. Also competing in the weapon was senior Melissa Parker, placing 46th. Taking the title was Lee Keifer, of Kentucky.
