Owls' junior netted game-winner in double-overtime to top No.16 Charlotte

PHILADELPHIA - Announced by the league today, Temple men's soccer junior Tyler Witmer has been named Philadelphia Soccer Six Co-Player of the Week, sharing the award with Jidell Roach of La Salle.  It marks the second time this season Witmer has garnered the recognition.

A native of Wernersville, Pa., Witmer tallied the game-winning goal in double-overtime of the Owls' 2-1 win over No.16 Charlotte, marking the second consecutive year Temple has taken down a ranked Charlotte team.  The 49ers were previously unbeaten in conference play.  Witmer now ranks second on the team with four goals and 10 points.

The Temple men's soccer team wraps up its regular season with two critical Atlantic 10 contests.  The Owls are 4-3-0 and in a five-way tie for fifth place in the conference standings, hosting George Washington (Nov. 5) and Richmond (Nov. 7) this weekend.
