Kastner will join the Cherry and White from Fairfax Station, Va. (South County). The right fielder is a two-time first-team all-district performer, while also garnering first-team all-region and honorable mention all-state honors in 2009. She has helped lead her squad to three-straight Virginia Patriot District championships, as well as the 2009 Northern Regional title. Kastner plays club ball for the Vienna Stars Gold, serving as the team captain.

McKeon hails from Toms River, N.J. (Toms River North). The outfielder batted .488 for her high school squad to lead the team last season, helping her earn first-team all-conference accolades for the third-straight year. McKeon, whose club team is the Pennsbury Gems Gold, has also been selected to the all-county team twice.

“I'm extremely happy that Julia and Lacey chose to come to Temple to be a part of our softball family,” said DiPietro. “I know that they will have outstanding careers, both on the field and in the classroom. Although we'll have depth in the outfield next year, I believe that Lacey and Julia will see time as freshmen and step into those spots full time by their sophomore years.”
