ST. BONAVENTURE, NY -
Sophomore guard Ramone Moore scored a career-high 18 points to lead #20/21 Temple to a 73-55 win at St. Bonaventure Wednesday night. The Owls improved to 21-5 and 9-2 in the Atlantic 10 Conference while the Bonnies fell to 10-14 and 3-8 in league play.

Moore, who started his third straight game in place of Juan Fernandez, reached double figures for the fifth straight game. The 6-4 guard has now led the Owls in scoring in four of the last five games and is averaging 15.2 points during that stretch.

Fernandez, coming off the bench for the second straight game, looked to have shaken off the effects of the hit to his head suffered at Fordham on Jan. 23. The 6-4 Argentine guard hit double figures for the first time since that game, scoring 15 points while dishing five assists against zero turnovers.

The Owls never trailed in the contest, but only led 32-27 at intermission.

Held scoreless in the first half, senior guard Ryan Brooks scored nine of his 13 points in a 20-6 run early in the second half to give the Owls a commanding 54-39 lead.

Fernandez, the A-10's top three-point shooter (51-114, .447), capped the run with two treys and a steal and dish to Rahlir Jefferson for a dunk. Temple pushed the lead to 24 at 69-45 with just under six to play before putting it on cruise control for its 21st win. It is the most regular season victories since 1999-2000 when that Owl squad posted 23 wins in the regular season in finishing 27-6 overall.

The Owls, who set a school single game record for field goal percentage (68.6%) in their win over Rhode Island Saturday, made 15 of 26 attempts in the second half for 57.5 percent.

Jonathan Hall led St. Bonaventure with 19 points and a game-high 10 rebounds.

Temple next travels to The Palestra Saturday (Noon/Comcast SportsNet) to take on Saint Joseph's in an Atlantic 10 Conference/Big 5 game.

Temple coach Fran Dunphy and the city's Coaches vs. Cancer group are asking fans to bring household items to the game to be donated to the AstraZenca Hope Lodge. The AstraZenca Hope Lodge of the American Cancer Society is a free service provided to cancer patients and their families who must travel to receive treatment. It is always in need of items for the families' use.

Among the items needed are: paper towels; laundry detergent; dryer sheets; waterless hand santizer; dishwasher detergent; trash bags; batteries; paper plates; toothpaste and deodorant (small tubes only); energy saver lightbulbs. They also request white bath, hand or wash towels and white full-size sheets.
