Pitcher Kylie Kristovich commits to Temple for 2010-11 season
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Pitcher Kylie Kristovich, out of Sacred Heart High School in Vineland, N.J., has committed to play softball for Temple University and head coach Joe DiPietro in 2010-11. Kristovich joins four other newcomers committed to play for the Owls next season.
A four-year varsity starter at Sacred Heart, Kristovich is also a member of the Witchers Gold U18 ASA Team. She was an All-South Jersey First Team selection in 2009, as well as a two-time All Cape Atlantic Conference honoree.
“Kylie will add depth to our pitching staff next season,” said DiPietro. “She's a great kid from a great family and we feel her addition will be a positive one as we move toward our goal of winning an A-10 Championship.”
Kristovich was team captain as both a junior and senior, and made her mark on Sacred Heart's record book with the all-time strikeout record (491) and the all-time wins record (47). Off the field, Kristovich was named to the Principal's List, and was a two-year member of the Spanish National Honor Society and National Honor Society.
