Men's Varsity 4 Narrowly Misses Grand Final at IRAs
Owls edged by Brown for third in semifinals

CAMDEN, NJ - The Temple men's Varsity 4 narrowly missed qualifying for the grand final of the Intercollegiate Rowing Association National Championships missing the final spot by a mere .26 tenth of a second Friday morning. The Owls will take conclude their season Saturday in the Petite Final at 9:00 a.m. on the Cooper River.

The Owls' Varsity 4 of James Barr (stroke), Scott Waters (3-seat), Jason Cartwright (2-seat), Brendan Cunningham (bow) and Don Norris (cox) placed fourth in its semifinal heat with Brown taking the third and final spot. Washington won the semifinal race with California placing second. Yale, which placed fifth, and Princeton (6th), will join Temple in the petite final.
