Khalif Wyatt Named A-10 & Big 5 Player of the Week

PHILADELPHIA – Temple University junior guard Khalif Wyatt was named the Atlantic 10 Conference and Philadelphia Big 5 Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, January 8. It is his first Player of the Week accolade of his career.
The 6-4 Norristown, Pa.native (Norristown) averaged 25 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.5 steals, 3.0 assists in leading Owls to 1-1 week. Wyatt scored a game-high 22 points (8-12, 3-5 3pt) and made a career-high five steals in Temple's 78-73 upset of #3/5 Duke (1/4). He followed that with a career-high 28 points, making a career-best five three-pointers (10 attempts) in an 87-77 loss to Dayton (1/7). He also scored 11 of his points in the final 3:15 in an attempt to rally the Owls.
For the season, Wyatt ranks second on the Owls and seventh in the Atlantic 10 in scoring with a 15.8 average. He leads the team in three-point percentage (27-66, .409) and steals (2.0 spg.), ranking fifth in the league in that category.
