Brian Clarhaut Named Assistant Men's Soccer Coach

Clarhaut joins Temple coaching staff after helping UConn to BIG EAST title game and NCAA Tournament in 2011

PHILADELPHIA— Brian Clarhaut, the Director of Soccer Quality Control at the University of Connecticut last season, has been hired by Temple Men's Soccer head coach David MacWilliams to be his top assistant coach. Clarhaut joins the Temple sideline after helping to lead the Huskies to the BIG EAST Championship Game and to the NCAA Quarterfinals with a 19-3-3 record in 2011.

Clarhaut spent the 2009 and 2010 campaigns alongside associate head coach Tim O'Donohue at Stevens Institute of Technology.

During his two seasons at Stevens, Clarhaut helped to lead four players to NSCAA First Team All-America honors. A former Division I player at St. Peter's College from 2004-06, he was a member of the All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Academic team.

Clarhaut was a member of the 23-0-1 Shawnee High School squad that won the 2003 New Jersey state title and finished as the second-ranked team in the nation according to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).

As a member of Bishop Eustace Prep from 2000-2002, he set the single season assists record in 2002 with 27, was an all-conference performer (2002) and an All-New Jersey Top-11 Player (2002).

Clarhaut, a nationally licensed coach through the USSF will assist with all aspects of the program.

He replaces Trevor Singer, who is now the assistant coach at George Mason University.
