Women's Soccer Falls on the Road to Memphis 3-0

PHILADELPHIA – Temple women's soccer fell on the road in American Athletic Conference play against Memphis 3-0 at Mike Rose Stadium. The loss pushes the Owls' record to 6-10-1, 1-7-0.
Memphis scored all three goals in the first half to put the game away from the Owls. Nugene Nugent scored the first goal six minutes into the game when she finished off a loose ball off a corner kick. Christabel Oduro scored in the 24th minute when she received a pass 25 yards out and scored from the edge of the box. Valerie Sanderson added the last goal in the 31st minute after receiving a cross inside the box and putting it past Shauni Kerkhoff.
Kerkhoff made four saves in the game for the Owls. Memphis outshot Temple 17-8.
The Owls close out the regular season on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at Rutgers. The Scarlet Knights are 11-4-2, 4-3-1 this season, and haven't won in their last three games.
