Men's Soccer Loses to Rival Saint Joseph's 1-0

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Temple Owls dropped their first game of the season on Saturday night to Saint Joseph's 1-0. The loss snapped a four game-winning streak to start the season.
Saint Joseph's Jimmy Reilly scored in the 61st minute to score the only goal in the game with shot past Dan Scheck in the right bottom corner of the net.
Dan Scheck's impressive regular season streak ended with the goal, totaling 656 minutes. Scheck had one save in the game.
Temple out shot Saint Joseph's 8-6 with both teams getting two shots on goal.
With the loss, Temple's regular season winning streak ends at seven dating back to last year.
The Owls continue non-conference play next Tuesday on Sept. 17 against Delaware (4-1) at 7:00 p.m.
