AMBLER, Pa. – Temple men's soccer defeated Villanova 1-0 at Ambler Sports Complex on Saturday afternoon in a Philadelphia Soccer Six Match. Donovan Fraser scored the only goal in the game with four seconds left in the half.

With less than a minute left in the first half, Temple took control of the ball in their own zone, and with a few passes, the Owls got into the offensive zone and drew a foul from the Wildcats. The Owls took advantage, and Nolan Hemmer fed Donovan Fraser with four seconds left in the half for Fraser's first collegiate goal of his career. Hemmer got his first point of the season with the assist.

The Owls never let up from that point, controlling possession of the ball for the majority of the second half until the last 15 minutes as Villanova pressed to tie the game up.

The win snapped a two game losing streak for the Owls, both coming on the road and by one goal. The friendly confines of Ambler Sports Complex helped snap the streak, as the Owls are 4-0 at home.

Dan Scheck continued his strong play of 2013 with another shutout, his fifth of the season. He had four saves to push his season save percentage to .900.

The Owls continue non-conference play with another home game next Wednesday against Fordham at 3:00 p.m. Fordham is 2-4 this season.
