Men's Soccer Falls at No. 18 Louisville 3-0

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Temple Owls dropped their first American Athletic Conference game to Louisville at Cardinal Park 3-0 on Saturday night. The loss snapped a two game-winning streak for the Owls (6-3, 0-1).
The Cardinals got their first goal in the 27th minute of the first half. Ade Akinsanya gathered a rebound after a shot by Marlon Hairston and put it past Dan Scheck.
The lead was extended in the in the 61st minute, as Ricardo Velazco received a lead ball by Andrew Brody and beat Scheck. The last goal by Louisville came in the 88th minute when Andrew Brody scored on an unassisted goal from 22 yards out.
Goalkeeper Dan Scheck made seven saves.
Louisville outshot Temple 17-11.
The Owls continue conference play next Wednesday on Oct. 2 against No. 22 Connecticut (3-2-2, 0-0-1) at 3:00 p.m. The Huskies played to a 1-1 draw on Friday night at USF.
