Bridgette Cahill Returns to Temple as Director of Compliance & Student-Athlete Affairs

PHILADELPHIA - Bridgette Cahill, a former graduate extern for Temple Compliance and Student Services, has returned to the University as Director of Compliance & Student-Athlete Affairs. Associate AD/Compliance & Student-Athlete Affairs Kristy Bannon Sromovsky announced the hiring of Cahill, her former co-worker in 2010-11.
"I'm excited to welcome Bridgette back to our Temple Athletics family," said Sromovsky. "The experience she brings with her is an invaluable asset to our staff. Her passion and dedication to enriching the lives of our student-athletes will greatly enhance our department as a whole."
Cahill comes back to Temple after spending the past four years as the Assistant Athletics Director, Compliance at Seton Hall University. Serving as the top compliance administrator for the Pirates, Cahill had numerous duties with regards to keeping the athletics department compliant per NCAA rules and regulations as well as university policies.
"I am excited and honored to join the Temple Athletics family once again," said Cahill. "I would like to thank Dr. Patrick Kraft and Kristy for this wonderful opportunity. I look forward to working with the administrative staff, the coaching staff and the student-athletes in their pursuit for continued academic and athletic success."
From January of 2010 until her graduation from Temple in May of 2011, Cahill worked as the Compliance and Student Services graduate extern. In her role, Cahill was responsible for serving as a liaison between the university and the athletics department, while also ensuring the compliance of all varsity programs with NCAA and conference legislation. She also worked closely with the Owls' student-athletes and helped develop and coordinate various community service opportunities. Cahill earned her master's degree from Temple in sport and recreation management.
Cahill completed her undergraduate career at Brown University, earning a bachelor's degree in the history of art and architecture in 2006. While at Brown, Cahill was a four-year standout on the Bears' swimming & diving team. As a student, Cahill was also an active member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and remains active in the Bears' athletics community as a member of the women's swimming & diving mentoring program.
