Lacrosse Team Will Host 9th Annual Philly 5 Tournament on Sunday

PHILADELPHIAÂ - The ninth annual Philly 5 Lacrosse Tournament returns to Temple on Sunday, Oct. 25 at Geasey Field, featuring Temple, Drexel, La Salle, Saint Joseph's and Villanova in fall exhibition play. Every team will face every other team in a series of games running from 8 a.m. to 3:25 p.m.
This year's Philly 5 logo, pictured above, was designed by Temple lacrosse student-athlete Kaitlin Suzuki and features her original drawings of the heads of each mascot.
The Philly 5 Tournament features the top lacrosse talent in the area. Fans will be able to witness the top local rivalries in action at this highly-anticipated annual event. The tournament aims to bring Division I women's lacrosse schools in the Philadelphia area together for a day of competition and promotion of the sport in the city.Â
T-shirts will be on sale at the tournament for $10.
The schedule for the tournament is as follows:
8:00-8:40 a.m. - Temple vs. La Salle
8:45-9:25 a.m. - Temple vs. Saint Joseph's
9:30-10:10 a.m. - Villanova vs. Drexel
10:15-10:55 a.m. - La Salle vs. Villanova
11:00-11:40 a.m. - La Salle vs. Saint Joseph's
11:45-12:25 p.m. - Temple vs. Drexel
12:30-1:10 p.m. - Drexel vs. La Salle
1:15-1:55 p.m. - Saint Joseph's vs. Villanova
2:00-2:40 p.m. - Villanova vs. Temple
2:45-3:25 p.m. - Drexel vs. Saint Joseph's
