PHILADELPHIA – Junior running back Jahad Thomas was named to the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll for week five of the season. The Owls' top rusher finds himself on the list for the second time this year.

Thomas carried 20 times for 109 yards and two touchdowns, along with 3 catches for a team-high 45 yards as the Owls defeated Charlotte, 37-3, in a rain-soaked victory. For the season, his 503 rushing yards and 834 all-purpose yards leads the conference. Thomas has been honored by The American three times this season, including being named the Special Teams Player of the Week on September 12. His three weekly honors lead Temple, which has had at least one player on the list in every game they've played this season.

Thomas and the Owls return home and resume conference play as they face Tulane for Homecoming on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 12:00 p.m. at Lincoln Financial Field. The game will be aired on national television.
