Temple Owl Club Hosts Unique Event for Courtside Club Members

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple Owl Club held a unique event last week for its Courtside Club members, giving them a taste of what an official men's basketball recruit would experience.
The coaching staff prepared diligently for the "Official Visit," with the twist that this time there would be no actual recruits.
Starting in the lobby of the Pearson-McGonigle facility, head coach Fran Dunphy welcomed his new "recruits" for an action-packed day. Following a facilities tour, the group was taken through practice before heading over to the Resnick Academic Support Center for Student-Athletes for an academic center meeting.
The group then traveled to Center City for dinner at Barbuzzo in the restaurant's acclaimed private space. The "recruits" then had a chance to mingle and hear from a number of Temple Athletics staff members, including Director of Athletics Dr. Patrick Kraft.
In order to gain access to the top seating location in the Liacouras Center, Courtside Club members make a gift to the Temple Owl Club and invest in Temple Athletics to provide Temple student-athletes with a first-class experience.Â
