12.10.15 | Women's Lacrosse

PHILADELPHIA - Nine talented recruits have signed National Letters of Intent to play lacrosse for Temple in 2016-17, announced 10th year head coach Bonnie Rosen. The group represents a total of five states, hailing from Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland and New Jersey in addition to Pennsylvania.

Joining the Owls next year will be Lizzie Frederick (Rehoboth Beah, Del./Cape Henlopen), Maddie Gebert (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts), Meghan Hoffman (Fallston, Md./John Carroll), Michelle Koscinski (Glen Mills, Pa./Garnet Valley), Kara Nakrasius (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley), Abby Overman (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty), Julia Ryan (Princeton, N.J./Princeton HS), Olivia Thompson (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty) and Kimmy Weinstock (Ridgefield, Conn./Ridgefield).

"We are so excited to welcome these nine student-athletes into the Temple Lacrosse family," said Rosen. "In addition to being wonderful people, they were recruited for their athletic and lacrosse abilities, their commitment to team success, their dedication to being strong student-athletes, their desire to make a difference, and their love of playing sports. While each of them will bring their own set of strengths to the team, collectively as a class they will play a very important role in shaping the future of this program. They have the benefit of coming to Temple at a time when it has never been better to be a Temple Owl, and, because of that, they have a sense of Temple pride and excitement to be "Temple Made" that is truly contagious!"
