Women's Soccer Announces 2015 Spring Schedule

PHILADELPHIA – Temple women's soccer 2015 Spring Schedule has been announced by Head Coach Seamus O'Connor. The Owls will play five games against all Pennsylvania schools starting in March.
Temple will open up the spring season at Villanova on Friday, March 13 at 4:30 pm. On Saturday, March 28 they will take on Lehigh at 1:00 pm. On Friday, April 3 the Owls will be on the road again to play against Lafayette at 7:00 pm. Temple's only home game will come against Holy Family on Sunday, April 12 at 6:00 pm. The spring season will conclude on the road against St. Joseph's on Saturday, April 18 at 7 pm.
"I am very pleased to be able to get five games that I believe will test us as a team," said O'Connor. "We will be playing against different styles and formations, and we need to be able to solve the challenges we will face in each game."
"The players are currently working very hard in the weight room and on the practice field I am looking forward to see how this translates to our performances in games."
The Owls are coming off a season where they finished 11-8-1, 3-5-1 to finish 8th in the American Athletic Conference. Temple opened their 2014 campaign with a strong seven-game winning streak, the best start to a season in program history. In addition, the 2014 squad tied their winning record for the third time since its inaugural season: 11-7-0 under Head Coach Elleen Richart (1991), and 11-9-0 under Head Coach Seamus McWilliams (2001). The Owls return everyone on the team except one graduating senior, including second team all-conference members Shauni Kerkhoff and Kelly Farrell.
