Men's Soccer Receives Soccer Six Honors

PHILADELPHIA – Temple men's soccer player Robert Sagel was named to the Philadelphia Soccer Six All-Star Team while Felipe Liborio and Miguel Polley were named to the All-Rookie Team at the Soccer Six Banquet on Tuesday night.
Coming into the season as a four star recruit and no. 52 overall in the nation by Top Drawer Soccer, Liborio proved he was talented enough to contribute right away as a freshman. Liborio started 17 games this season. Even though he missed a game due to injury, he ranked third on the team in minutes played (1,532). He scored his first collegiate goal in a road contest against Cincinnati. Liborio was also named to the American Athletic Conference All-Rookie Team.
Ranked as the no. 26 ESPN Rise Recruit for the Class of 2013, Polley started in 15 games this season after redshirting last year. He ranked second on the team with four assists. His first collegiate goal came against La Salle in addition to an assist to help Temple rally to a tie from a 0-2 deficit at halftime, which earned him Philadelphia Soccer Six Rookie of the Week.
This is the second straight year that Sagel has been selected to the all-star team. He played all 1,712 minutes this season and has started every game in his two seasons at Temple. Sagel was chosen as a captain at the beginning of the year, even though he was just a sophomore.
