Women’s Soccer Earns NSCAA College Team Academic Award

PHILADELPHIA – For the fifth consecutive year, the Temple women's soccer team has earned the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Academic Award for the 2014-15 academic year. To qualify, a team must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) to be eligible.

During the year, the Owls posted a 3.44 team GPA and had 15 players named to Temple's Director's Honor Roll (GPA between 3.0-3.5) and six players on the President's Honor Roll (GPA above a 3.5).

Since the award was instituted in 1996, the Owls have been honored with award a total of 11 times (1999, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015).
 
A total of 873 Division I, II and III college soccer programs received the prestigious award, including 562 women's programs. Temple is one of the 219 schools to have both its men's and women's programs honored.
