Men's Soccer Set to Host Villanova for Tuesday's White-Out Game

PHILADELPHA – In its final home game until October 18, Temple men's soccer is set to host Philadelphia Soccer Six rival Villanova for a Tuesday afternoon matchup. The game is set to start at 3 p.m.
The Owls and Wildcats head into Tuesday's match with identical 6-3-1 overall records. When comparing nonconference records, the Owls hold a 6-2 record while the Wildcats stand at 4-2-1.
Temple is coming off a double overtime draw with Memphis on Saturday night. Despite placing 25 shots in the Tigers' defensive end, no efforts found the back of the net. The Owls' defensive line and goalkeeper Alex Cagle were able to limit the Tigers to only 12 shots, forcing Cagle to make four saves to maintain the scoreless draw.
Prior to Saturday's game, Jorge Gomez Sanchez knocked in his 10th goal of the season to earn the Owls their first road victory at Penn State He still remains tied for third nationally in total goals and total points.
Tuesday's game will also be a white-out match at the Temple Sports Complex. Students will receive a free white t-shirt before the start of the game while supplies last.
