Dawkins Named to Senior Bowl

PHILADELPHIA -Â The Reese's Senior Bowl announced 15 players added to this year's game. Â Temple's senior OL Dion Dawkins was one of those players selected.
Dawkins has started 37 games over his four-year career and earned fourth team All-America honors from Phil Steele following the 2015 campaign. This season, he has been the leader of an offensive line group that has helped Ryquell Armstead and Jahad Thomas rush for a combined 1,511 yards and 21 touchdowns on the season, making them the only running back duo to each rush for 700+ yards and 10-or-more TDs.
The other 14 players announced to the Senior Bowl today were Vince Biegel (Wisconsin), Jessamen Dunker (Tennessee State), Â Evan Engram (Ole Miss), Â Dan Feeney (Indiana), Johnathan Ford (Auburn), Â Zane Gonzalez (Arizona State), Zay Jones (East Carolina), Tanoh Kpassagnon (Villanova) Â Larry Ogunjobi (Charlotte), Duke Riley (LSU), Tanzel Smart (Tulane), Freddie Stevenson (Florida State), Trent Taylor (Louisiana Tech), Â Dede Westbrook (Oklahoma) and Jamaal Williams (BYU).
Earlier this month, 12 other players had been selected to play in the 2017 Senior Bowl. The game will take place on Saturday, January 28 at 2:30 p.m. ET from Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama.
