HUNTINGDON VALLEY, Pa. – Temple Golf defeated Villanova in the first playoff hole to capture the City 6 Championship at the 6,876-yard, Par-70 Huntingdon Valley Country Club Saturday. It was the first title for the Owls since the 2015 Met Intercollegiate, and the sixth in head coach Brian Quinn's 10 years at the helm.

Redshirt freshman Erik Reisner had his best day as an Owl, shooting a one-over 71 to tie for second overall.  Sophomore Trey Wren had another Top 10 finish, carding a four-over 74 to tie for ninth. Redshirt sophomore John Barone and junior Mark Farley were both one shot back and tied for 11th with 75s.  Sophomore Sam Soeth rounded out the team with an 82.

The Owls shot a one-under for the first playoff hole with Wren birdying the par-four first hole.  Barone, Soeth and Farley all parred the hole with the Wildcats playing it at one-over.

Penn's Amay Poria won the individual title with an even-par 70.  Temple and Villanova both ended with scores of 295.  Drexel was third with a 297.  The Dragons were followed by Penn (300), Saint Joseph's (302) and La Salle (312).
