MLS Invited Gomez Sanchez to 2017 Player Combine

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Major League Soccer has officially announced its list of Division I players who have been invited to the 2017 adidas MLS Player Combine to be held on January 8-12 in Los Angeles.
Temple's Jorge Gomez Sanchez was selected as one of 53 players from around the country and is now eligible to be picked in the 2017 SuperDraft.
Cementing himself in the Temple record books in only two seasons, Gomez Sanchez will head to the Combine following a season in which he recorded 14 goals and three assists for 31 points that accounted for nearly half of the teams' total points.
A first-team All-American Athletic Conference selection and first-team All-East Region pick, Gomez Sanchez currently stands in a tie for fifth all-time in career goals and fifth alone in single-season goals. His 62 career points places him ninth in the all-time rankings.
Gomez Sanchez is one of five total players to be invited from the American Athletic Conference.
Since his first season with the Owls, head coach David MacWilliams has led six players to professional careers.
