Stanford went a perfect 6-0 in the opening pool round before advancing through four rounds of direct elimination and making it to the final four. In the round of eight, Stanford defeated Lauren Scruggs who had won the Cadet U17 Championships earlier in the weekend.

"This was an excellent result for Becca in her last JO's as she ages out now," said Temple head coach Nikki Franke. "She fenced very well and was moving very well, and this was a great way for her to finish her junior career. We also got a great finish from Jessica Rockford on Friday."

Rockford, a freshman, recorded a strong finish in junior women's sabre, coming in 26th of 146 competitors after going 5-1 in the opening pool round.

Freshmen Quinn Duwelius and Fiona Fong both went 4-2 in their pool round before placing 74th and 83rd, respectively, in junior women's epee out of 183 fencers.

The entire team will be back in action at the Owls' own Temple Invitational, set for Saturday, Feb. 20.
