Men's Crew Races in Dad Vail Regatta Friday and Saturday
5.12.16 | Men's Crew
PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple men's crew team will compete in the 78th annual Dad Vail Regatta on the Schuylkill River on Friday and Saturday. The largest collegiate regatta in the nation, the event features nearly 3,700 competitors from over 120 colleges and universities.
The Owls will race three eights, two fours, and a single in the event. Head coach Gavin White thinks the Owls have a great chance to medal in many of the events.
"Last year I thought our varsity eight would take third, and they finished just short of that," noted White. "This year, I think they can definitely medal. They've been showing speeds that should have them among the top of the field, possibly even winning."
Temple Friday Racing Schedule
7:30am - V8
9:02am - Single
10:01am - N4
11:07am - L4
11:31am - N8
2:04pm - 2V8
