Former Men's Soccer Standout Selected to 2016 U.S. CONCACAF Futsal Championship Team

SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA – Former Temple men's soccer player Tony Donatelli has been selected to the 2016 U.S. CONCACAF Futsal Championship team that will play in the upcoming qualifying matches in San Jose, Costa Rica. The winner of the two-game play-in series will advance to the 2016 CONCACAF Futsal Championship.

Prior to playing with the U.S. Futsal Team, Donatelli most recently was a member of Harrisburg City of the United Soccer League. Since his professional berth in 2006, Donatelli has made 167 professional appearances with 26 goals and 22 assists.

Before his time with Harrisburg City, Donatelli played with other clubs within the USL, as well as clubs in the North American Soccer League and MLS.

During his time with Temple from 2002-2005, Donatelli was a standout player, scoring 22 goals and dishing 20 assists for 64 career points. Dontelli ranks third in career assists and eighth in points in program history. He earned First Team All-Atlantic 10 and All Mid-Atlantic Region as a senior while also being named the Philadelphia Soccer Seven Player of the Year award.

Donatelli was selected as one of three forward's on this year's U.S. CONCACAF Futsal squad and will begin the qualifying series on Wednesday, May 4. The action of all matches will be shared on Twitter at @ussoccer_ynt.
