Football Mentors Students at Camden's Cream Elementary
6.23.16 | Football, Outreach
Over the past several weeks, Temple football players have taken time out of their summer schedules to cross the Ben Franklin Bridge into New Jersey, mentoring students at Camden's Ruletta T. Cream Elementary School.
"Every week the players come in, they sit down and talk with the children about making healthier choices, and they set goals for themselves," said kindergarten teacher Ronica Hudson. "Since the players have been coming in, we've noticed the students make better choices."
The monthlong outreach program culminated this past Wednesday and represents one facet of Temple athletics' commitment to serving the Greater Philadelphia community. Click here to watch video.
