Men's Soccer Faces Philadelphia Soccer Six Opponent Drexel Tuesday Night

PHILADELPHIA – Looking to bounce back from its first loss of the season, Temple men's soccer is set for its second away match of 2016. Traveling across town for a Tuesday night match, the Owls will take on Philadelphia Soccer Six opponent Drexel at Vidas Field.
Now standing at 4-1-0, the Owls have only two more games before their conference opener against UConn. Currently, the team ranks first in the American Athletic Conference with Alex Cagle and Jorge Gomez Sanchez holding top spots individually.
Cagle, who has conceded only three goals across five games, leads the conference with a goals against average of 0.600.
Gomez Sanchez, who has been the driving force for the Owls' offense, leads the conference in total points and goals, as well as shots per game and points per game. He was also one of three Owls selected to the weekly honor roll by the conference on Monday afternoon.
George McGee and Mark Grasela also earned spots on the honor roll. Collectively, the trio compiled 11 of the Owls' 20 total shots against the Broncs on Saturday.

Drexel will be entering Tuesday's match following a 1-1 draw against Rhode Island. Overall, the Dragons stand at 0-2-2 on their season.
The Owls have not met with the Dragons since 2014, when Drexel topped Temple, 1-0. Overall, the Owls lead the series 27-15-4.
Eden Ben Hemo and Ilai Shvika have each posted a goal for the Dragons. Goalkeeper Tyler Afflerbach has posted an impressive 18 saves through the first four matches.
