Men's Soccer Ranked No. 2 in NSCAA East Regional Poll; Receives Votes in National Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – After kicking off its 2016 campaign with four wins and a 10-1 goals scored differential against opponents, Temple men's soccer has received votes in both the NSCAA National Rankings Poll and the Top Drawer Soccer Top 25. Regionally, the Owls now rank second behind the University of Vermont who rank #23 in the national poll.
With 19 coaching votes in the NSCAA Poll, the Owls now rank #33 in the country heading into their first away game this upcoming Saturday against Rider, who was ranked #25 by Top Drawer Soccer and received votes by the NSCAA, as well.
The Owls are sitting at the top of the conference with an undefeated 4-0 record.
Jorge Gomez Sanchez has been named this week's Offensive Player of the Week by the conference, as well as the Player of the Week by the Philadelphia Soccer Six. He currently leads the team with 10 points and a goal in every game this season.
