PHILADELPHIA – On Thursday, Temple women's track and field will head to Annapolis, Md., for the Navy Mid-Week. Among nine other programs, 17 Owls will compete across 13 events.
The women's only meet will feature Navy, Towson, Delaware, Morgan State, Mount St. Mary's, VCU, American, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, and Robert Morris.

"Katie Pinson is someone we are excited to see improve," said head coach Elvis Forde. "She knows where she was last year and she wants to be better than that. Her performance at the Towson Invitational showed us that she is prepared and his been working hard to be able to make a great contribution to the program."
Coming off of her third collegiate meet is freshman Ebonee Jackson who reached a minor personal best in the 60 meter dash at the Towson Invitational on Saturday with a time of 7.98.
"Ebonee is getting better every meet," says Forde. "I see signs that she has the ability to improve tremendously over the course of the season." At Navy on Thursday, she will toe the line for the 60, the 60 meter hurdles, as well as the 200 meter race.
The meet will kick off with field events at 4:15 p.m. beginning with the pole vault. Owls will participate in the long jump and triple jump to follow. The track events will begin at 4:30 p.m. with the DMR featuring Leisher, Pinson, Moore, Howard and four others.
