Temple Adds Two to Football Staff

1.23.17 | Football

PHILADELPHIA – The Temple University Football Team continues to reshape its coaching and support staff under the direction of new head coach Geoff Collins. Added today were Keith Gaither as wide receivers coach and Kyle Lane as video coordinator.

Gaither comes to Temple after two seasons with Army in the same position. A 1997 graduate of Elon where he was an all-region choice at defensive back and a four-year starter, Gaither has 21 years of coaching experience. He began his coaching career in 1997 at Greensboro College before serving stints at Tusculum College (1998-99), Thomasville City Schools (2000-04), Winston-Salem State (2005-08), Elon (2009-10), Ball State (2010-14), and Army (2015-16).

Gaither replaces Frisman Jackson who was initially retained by Collins from the 2016 staff but was recently hired by the NFL's Tennessee Titans.

Lane returns to Temple, his alma mater, after serving as the assistant video coordinator for Kansas during the 2016 season. Prior to Kansas, the Hamilton, N.J., native was a football video assistant at Columbia University where he performed various duties such as filming every game practice and logged the Lions and their opponent's film. Lane has previous experience with the Philadelphia Soul as team operations intern (2013-14), and a video intern (2015). He started his career as a front office intern for the Trenton Titans from 2012-13.
