Women’s Soccer Falls to SMU 2-0 on Senior Day

PHILADELPHIA -The Temple women's soccer team (6-7-2, 2-3-1) fell 2-0 to conference opponent SMU (6-6-3, 1-4-1) on Sunday afternoon. It was a heartfelt day for the team as five seniors were honored prior to the match – forward Kayla Cunningham, midfielder Victoria Dutille, midfielder Elana Falcone, forward Morgan Glassford and forward Gabriella McKeown.
Keys to the Match
> It was a scoreless first half as both defenses did a great job of not allowing any goals.
> In the beginning of the second half, SMU's Allie Thornton scored in the 46th minute to put the Mustangs up 1-0.
> Katia Novi added the second goal for the Mustangs in the 75th minute off an assist from Claire Oates.

> Seniors Cunningham, Dutille, Falcone, Glassford and McKeown all started the match in their final home game.
> McKeown led the team in shots with four.
> Goalkeeper Morgan Basileo had four saves on the day, including three in the second half.
