Men's Soccer Heads to Tulsa on Saturday

PHILADELPHIA - On Saturday Oct. 21, Temple men's soccer (7-6-1, 2-2) will hit the road for a conference match at Tulsa (4-6-1, 1-3). The game is set for an 8 p.m. E.T. start at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.
Scouting the Owls
> Temple enters Saturday's match coming off a 3-1 win over NJIT on Oct. 17. The match's three goals came from junior Jordan Wix-Rauch, senior Brendon Creed, and senior Divin Fula Luzolo.
> Thibault Candia has team-bests of five goals and 11 points, and Alan Camacho Soto has four goals on the year. Other goal contributors in 2017 include redshirt senior Mark Grasela, senior Joonas Jokinen, junior Hermann Doerner and sophomores Zach Brown and Lukas Fernandes
> Grasela was named to the Oct. 16 edition of the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll for anchoring Temple's defense against Cincinnati on Oct. 14. The Philadelphia native assisted the eventual game-winning goal vs. the Bearcats.
>  Redshirt senior Alex Cagle and sophomore Michael Sammik have a combined 30 saves and three shutouts.Â
Scouting the Golden Hurricane
> Tulsa enters the contest coming off a 0-3 loss to UCF on Oct. 15.
>Â Tulsa has earned wins over #1 Stanford and Denver and currently has an RPI of #49, the fourth highest in The American behind SMU (18), USF (32) and UConn (34).Â
> Tulsa has 14 goals on the season from nine different scorers, including a team-best three goals from senior Rollie Rocha.  Munashe Raranje, Gustavo Vargas and Miguel Velasquez each have two.
> Goalkeeper Marcel Da Silva has 34 saves.

> Temple is 0-2-1 in the series against Tulsa. Last season's match resulted in a 1-1 draw at the Temple Sports Complex.
