PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple women's rowing team raced at the 2017 Head of the Schuylkill Regatta on Saturday. The Owls recorded seven top 10 finishes, which included fourth place spots in three different races.

CHAMPIONSHIP EIGHT
> Temple's top boat raced in a strong field, taking ninth overall.
> The Owls finished in 15:59.028.

CLUB EIGHT
> Temple had three entries in the club championship eight field of 43 boats.
> The "A" boat was just 0.6 seconds out of a bronze medal finish, clocking in at 15:54.587.
> Temple's "B" finished ninth overall in 16:33.717.
> The Owls' "C" crew placed 21st in 17:11.503.

CHAMPIONSHIP FOURS
> The Owls raced four boats in a 41-crew field in the championship fours.
> Again, the cherry and white "A" boat finished just shy of the medals, taking fourth in 16:50.340.
> Temple's "C" boat had the Owls' next best time, taking 10th in 17:18.075.
> The Owls' "B" and "D" boats were separated by just over a second, taking 11th and 12th places.
> The "B" boat finished in 17:24.625, while the "D" boat clocked in at 17:25.403.

NOVICE EIGHT
> As was the story of the event, the Owls' top boat finished fourth overall in a 31 team field.
> The Owls recorded a time of 16:24.943, only 0.5 from a medal.
> Temple's other boat took 15th in a time of 18:36.028.

NOVICE FOUR
> Temple raced a pair of boats in the 21-team novice four event.
> The Owls' "A" crew took seventh in 18:31.487.
> Temple's "B" boat finished in 19:51.815 to placed 12th.

ALUMNI EVENTS
> Celebrating 30 years of Temple women's rowing, the Owls had a pair of alumni boats race.
> Temple took home the gold in the alumni four, clocking in at 18:45.145 to best the field.
> The alumni eight took sixth of 16th in their event, finishing in 16:55.991.

UP NEXT
> Temple will return to the water for the spring 2018 season.
