Women’s Tennis Signs Ruoyu Chen

PHILADELPHIA -- Temple's women's tennis team has announced the signing of Ruoyu Chen. Hailing from Shanghai, China, she attends Laurel Springs High School.
Chen is a successful junior player, who won the U10, U12, U14 Shanghai Championships from 2009 to 2014, and was the U16 National Champion in 2016. Her highest junior ranking reached 234 in the world.
"We are very excited with the signing of Ruoyu Chen," said Temple head coach Steve Mauro. "She had many different opportunities to go elsewhere and were really happy she chose us. She is going to do a lot of great things for Temple University."
Chen is the first signee of the 2018 class for Temple's women's tennis team.
