Women's Cross Country Place Third at ECAC Championships

NEW YORK - Temple women's cross country will head back to North Philadelphia with the bronze from Saturday's 2017 ECAC Championship race. Three Owls earned All-East honors for their performances in their last race of the season.
Keys to the Race
> Temple's top finisher was junior Katie Leisher who placed 11th with a time of 18:15.1 in the women's 5K.Â
> Freshman Lucy Jones finished next for the Owls with a time of 18:19.5 (14).
> Temple's third-best finisher was sophomore Grace Moore in 17th place with a time of 18:21.7.
> Senior Katie Pinson rounded out the Owls' top four finishing the race in 18:32.1
Race Notes
> Leisher, Jones, and Moore each earned All-East honors for finishing in the top 25.
> The Owls finished third out of 25 teams just behind James Madison and Richmond, respectively. This was the program's highest-ever finish at th ECAC Championship.
> Richmond's Amanda Corbosiero won the individual ECAC title.Â
