Men's Soccer Seniors to be Honored on Saturday When the Owls Face USF

PHILADELPHIA - In its final home game of the season, Temple men's soccer (8-7-1, 3-3) will recognize the contributions of eight seniors who will be playing their last match at the Temple Sports Complex as Temple Owls. The match against USF (6-5-4, 3-2-1) is set for a 7 p.m. start, the senior night ceremony will begin at approximately 6:40 p.m.
Alex Cagle
Cagle, an environmental science major, has appeared in 46 games for the Owls, while starting in 43 of those matches. After redshirting in 2013, the 2017 co-captain has accumulated an impressive 123 saves. Cagle has recorded 14 shutouts and 21 wins for the Owls over his career. The Brookfield, Wis., native is a five-time American Athletic Conference Goalkeeper of the week, a four-time Soccer Six Defender of the week, and the 2015-2016 American Athletic Conference Scholar-Athlete Sport Excellence Award winner, proving excellence both on and off the field.
Divin Fula Luzolo
A transfer student from Hawaii Pacific, Fula Luzolo has appeared and started in all 16 games for the Owls this season. The senior has recorded nine shots with three on goal, while scoring two goals and tallying three assists. Â
Matt Sullivan
Sullivan has appeared in 46 games for the Owls, while starting in 20 of those matches. The Philadelphia native has tallied seven shots, with two on goal, and he has recorded over 1200 minutes of action. Additionally, Sullivan has been named to the Director's Honor Roll for having a GPA of 3.0 or above twice over his tenure.
Joonas Jokinen
Jokinen has tallied 1552 minutes for the Owls over his past four seasons, logging nine total goals. In 2016, he was named to the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area team and earned the American Athletic Conference Scholar-Athlete Sport Excellence Award for his outstanding efforts both on the field and in the classroom.Â
Brendon Creed
A 2017 co-captain, Creed has appeared in 55 games for the Owls, while starting in 44 of those matches. He has logged 16 shots with five on goal, tallying two assists, and the game winning goal earlier this season, in the Owls victory over NJIT. In 2015, Creed was named to the President's Honor Roll for earning a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
Mark Grasela
 A 2017 co-captain, Grasela has played in 61 games for Temple over his career. This season he was named American Athletic Conference Player of the Week and was named to the conference's weekly Honor Roll twice. Grasela was also awarded Philadelphia Soccer Six Defender of the Week early in the season. In addition to anchoring the Owls' defense, the Philadelphia native has helped Temple to two NSCAA Team Academics Awards
Tim Rudy
Rudy, a business major, has appeared in eight games for the Owls. Last year, Tim helped the Owls to their fourth consecutive NSCAA Team Academic Award.
Albert Moreno
Moreno has appeared in 33 games for the Owls, starting 24. In 2016, Moreno, and Adult Organizational Development major, was named to the American Athletic Conference All-Rookie Team for his contributions at midfield.Â
