PHILADELPHIA -- Temple women's basketball player Tanaya Atkinson was named the American Athletic Conference Player of the Week on Monday. The senior played in three games, recording three double-doubles.

TANAYA "DOUBLE-DOUBLE" ATKINSON
> Atkinson averaged 24.0 points and 11.7 rebounds per game in a 2-1 week for the Owls.
> Against Rutgers, she tied a career high with 30 points, also pulling down 13 rebounds with three assists and two steals.
> In a win over Wagner, Atkinson scored 24 points, pulled down 10 rebounds, and recorded a career high five steals.
> Closing the week on the road at Iona, she scored 18 points with 12 rebounds, while also pulling down a game-clinching defensive board.
> Atkinson shot 58% (29-50) from the field.
