Atkinson Gets an Honor Roll Nod
PHILADELPHIA -- Temple's Mia Davis was named the American Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Freshman of the Week for the third time this season. Senior Tanaya Atkinson joined Davis with weekly accolades, earning a spot on the Honor Roll.
ROOKIE MAGIC
> Davis averaged 10.0 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists.
> On Thursday, she tallied seven points with game-highs of 14 rebounds and five assists in a comeback win over Hampton.
> On Sunday, Davis scored 13 points with nine boards, as Temple fell just short against #20/22 Villanova.
> For the week, she shot 42.9% from the field.
HONOR ROLL NOD
> Atkinson averaged 24.5 points and 14.0 rebounds.
> On Thursday, the guard led Temple with 25 points, adding 10 rebounds and three steals in a comeback win over Hampton.
> On Sunday, Atkinson put forth a valiant effort with 24 points and 18 rebounds, as Temple came up just short in a bid to upset #20/22 Villanova.
> For the week, she shot 43.9% from the field and was 12-for-12 from the free throw line.
