Home at Last for Men's Basketball as the Owls Host Wisconsin on Wednesday

PHILADELPHIA - After playing six games away from home to start the 2017-18 season, Temple men's basketball will finally have its home opener on Wednesday, Dec. 6 vs. Wisconsin (4-5) at 7 p.m. (ESPNU / 1210 AM WPHT). The Owls (4-2) will now play four straight games at home and five of their next six.
Important Information for Fans
> The Liacouras Center Garage is expected to be full by 6:30 p.m. on gameday. Alternative parking lots are open on campus for Temple Basketball games. Please click HERE for gameday parking maps and prices.
> Fans will be able to enter the Liacouras Center beginning 2 hours prior to tip-off for games versus Wisconsin (12/6), Saint Joseph's (12/9), Villanova (12/13), UConn (1/28), and Wichita State (2/1). For all other games, doors will open 1.5 hours prior to tip-off.
> In an effort to increase patron safety at the Liacouras Center, metal detectors will be in use at all entrances. All bags will be checked upon entry into the Liacouras Center. Fans are encouraged to bring a clear plastic bag if possible. Due to these new security procedures, please allow extra time for entrance to the arena. Thank you in advance for your patience.
Scouting Temple
> Temple is 4-2 overall, with both of its losses coming by just four points and both to former Atlantic 10 rivals.
> The Owls have played all six games so far away from home, and finally open their home slate against Wisconsin. Only six teams in Division I will play their home openers later than Temple.
> The Owls split games last week, taking down 2017 NCAA Final Four Team South Carolina at Madison Square Garden by a score of 76-60, but falling 71-67 at George Washington.
> Sophomore Quinton Rose leads Temple with 19.0 points per game, which ranks fourth in the American Athletic Conference. Rose has scored 20 or more points in four of six games, with 19 points in a fifth game. He led the Owls with 24 points vs. South Carolina and 20 at George Washington.
> Sophomore Damion Moore had a career game vs. South Carolina, scoring a career-high 20 points and adding a career-high 10 rebounds for his first career double-double.
> Senior forward Obi Enechionyia became the 52nd player in program history to reach 1,000 points with his 16-point effort at La Salle on Nov. 26. Enechionyia has now scored 1,038 career points.
> Junior guard Shizz Alston, Jr. has hit a perfect 18-of-18 free throws so far this season, and has now made 46 free throws in a row dating back to Dec. 28, 2016. His streak is the second-longest in program history behind Lynn Greer's 49 consecutive free throws.

> The Badgers are 4-5 overall and coming off a 64-63 win at Penn State on Monday.
> Four of Wisconsin's losses have come to teams ranked in the Top 25, including a 72-70 loss vs. #23 UCLA and a 70-65 loss vs. #22 Baylor. Wisconsin recently scored just 37 points in a defensive battle at #18 Virginia, falling 49-37.
> Wisconsin went 27-10 last season and advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 with a 65-62 upset of top-seeded Villanova.
> The Badgers are just three seasons removed from going 37-4 and falling 68-63 to Duke in the NCAA Championship game.
> Junior forward and All-American Ethan Happ is leading Wisconsin in scoring (15.4 ppg), rebounding (8.9 rpg) and assists (3.0 apg).
