Gymnastics Hosts Quad Meet for Senior Day

PHILADELPHIA – Looking to cap off a historic regular season in the same record-breaking fashion, Temple women's gymnastics is set to host its final meet of the season inside McGonigle Hall on Sunday. The quad meet featuring Penn, Southern Connecticut State and Ithaca will also play as the Owls' Senior Day beginning at 1 p.m. Reagan Oliveri, Briana Odom and Victoria Reggiani will all be honored in a ceremony following the last routine.
The Owls are returning to Philadelphia after a tough loss to the William & Mary Tribe on Friday night. The team posted a 192.45 to the Tribe's 193.10. Despite the loss, Daisy Todd, Oliveri and Sahara Gipson all picked up individual event titles.
Overall, Temple remains the leader in the ECAC with a 193.880 RQS with just Sunday's meet remaining before conference championships.
Penn will be the only conference opponent in Sunday's quad meet and will be the first meeting of the two teams this season. The Quakers currently rank fifth in the ECAC and will head to McGonigle Hall after a 191.475 at home on March 5. In 2017, the Quakers have posted a season-high team score of 193.575 in their second meet of the season.
Alex Hartke holds the highest individual conference ranking, sitting in fourth on floor with an RQS of 9.80 and a season high of 9.875.
Southern Connecticut will see the Owls for the second time this season, first matching up at the Pink Invitational. Temple was able to top Southern Connecticut 193.90-191.275.
Currently, Southern Connecticut ranks third among the three teams in the ECAC-2. The Owls hold a RQS of 189.875 with Tiffany Elliot and Alexandra Avendano each holding fifth-place spots on vault and floor, respectively.
Ithaca College will round out Sunday's competitors and currently rank fifth in the NCGA-East conference. The Bombers hold a RQS of 186.395 and have posted a season high of 189.15.
