Five Fencers Earn All-NIWFA Honors

PHILADELPHIA - Following seventh-ranked Temple fencing's 21st straight National Intercollegiate Women's Fencing Association (NIWFA) Championship this past weekend, five Owls have earned All-NIWFA recognition.
Temple earned four NIWFA First Team honors as well as one NIWFA Second Team honor. Leading the way for the Owls was freshman Kennedy Lovelace, whose individual win in foil earned her first team honors along with teammate and sophomore Auset Muhammad who placed third.
Sophomore Ally Micek was named to the NIWFA First Team in epee after placing second, while senior Victoria Suber earned NIWFA First Team honors in sabre for finishing third. Sophomore Fiona Fong was also recognized, earning NIWFA Second Team honors in epee for placing fourth.
Next up for the Owls is the NCAA Mid-Atlantic/South Regional on Saturday, March 11 at Lafayette.
