Temple Holds 2017 NFL Pro Day

PHILADELPHIA – In front of nearly 50 professional scouts, representing all 32 NFL teams and dozens of media members, 14 student-athletes from the 2016 Temple Owls participated in the University's annual Pro Day. Over 30 more players – former Temple Owls and others from nearby schools – also participated as they ran through the same rigorous drills from the NFL Combine.
OL Dion Dawkins, DB Nate Hairston, DL/LB Haason Reddick, and RB Jahad Thomas, all of whom participated at the NFL Combine last weekend, took part in some of the drills.
LB Jarred Alwan, TE/DL Romond Deloatch, DL Avery Ellis, DB Khiry Lucas, DL Praise Martin-Oguike, DL Averee Robinson, DB Nate L. Smith, TE Colin Thompson, QB Phillip Walker, and LB Avery Williams were also put through the paces and opened up the eyes of several scouts.
The next steps for these young men may be the NFL Draft, which occurs on April 26-28. This year's draft will take place in Philadelphia.
The high-marks of today's pro day include Praise Martin-Oguike in bench reps with 30 reps of 225 and a vertical jump of 32.0 by Avery Ellis.
